Hip Hop Music Promotes Drug Use…Duhhh, However Alternative Music Does Much Worse
I believe it promotes trees mostly
A recent study by researchers at the Univ. of Cal Berkely shows that Hip Hop songs and artists glorify drugs. Wow, this is news??? Seriously though, we all know this. Bud this haze that, dutches and yak…all that good stuff. Yeah yeah we know it, we hear it and some of us actually do it a lil. Funny thing is the parties that do take part probably would be doing it if they never heard an emcee and a ill beat.
I have a lil problem with the target though. I believe the Hip Hop genre pushes the marijuana burn fa shiggidy, but thats about it. Yes we are in the dimetapp era w/ respect to the south and yes you might here rapper A speak of flipping coke or ecstasy but you gotta aim that gun at heavy metal and alternative music daddy. There you’ll hear die die die, coke coke coke, E E E and more than likely some new issh you never heard of. If we are gonna talk about music and what it does, we must talk about all of it. I’m sure all the kids responsible for the last 10 school shootings weren’t hardcore hip hop fans. Hell, they’d be too high to carry the plan out if so. Thats not to make light of the situation but it is what it is. Everything is always our fault but like 85% of National tv ads have our twist. Said while eating a banana with a perm in Nebraska “I don’t like that shit mm mmm I don’t like that shit right there”.
