New Poll Says Highbrid Nation Is One Of The Top 40 Hip Hop Sites On The Net
I told ya’ll we were gunning for that number one spot.
Today I got an email from C-Hyphen telling me that a new poll is out saying that Highbrid Nation is one of the top 40 hip hop sites on the net (#36 to be exact). The link he sent me took me to a post over at Wooohah. It appears that a few guys that Yeti knows came up with a formula that can be used to rank blogs. The formula includes stats from Alexa, Technorati and Digg. As great as I know HN is, I was surprised to see us on there. We tend to not get much love when it comes to stuff like this so to be included in itself is appreciated. One thing that I noticed is that Highbrid Nation has the highest Digg ranking on the whole list. I find that amusing because I’m willing to bet that most readers of hip hop blogs don’t know what Digg is, let alone use it (though if you do know how I encourage you to submit our stories via the ShareThis button below). In the end I’m certainly not complaining. Yeti said he’ll be updating the post regularly and I’ll be sure to pay attention of how HN rises through the ranks. #36 is okay but I told ya’ll we were gunning for number #1 and that’s not possible without you readers. Highbrid Nation has the best and most intelligent readers and we ask that you continue to spread the word and help us build our community nation. Thanks, we wouldn’t have gotten this far without you.

The Nation isn’t about us. Its about everyone. Please don’t congratulate us, pat yourselves on the back. Our blog is only a representation of the community that we champion. You all are just as much a part of it as we are. So thank you.

thanks. Though there are some really good sites on the lists, many of which i subscribe to myself, I agree that HN is better all around than a large amount of them. Maybe they rank higher than us because their readers haven’t found Highbrid Nation yet ;).
