LA Times Officially Apologizes Over Tupac Shakur Story

Rival New York Times Snickers in Wake of disaster

Biggie and Pac

The Los Angeles Times‘ Executive editor, Russ Stanton issued this appology today over the fugazi Tupac shooting story.

“We published this story with the sincere belief that the documents were genuine, but our good intentions are beside the point,” Stanton said in a statement.

“The bottom line is that the documents we relied on should not have been used. We apologize both to our readers and to those referenced in the documents and, as a result, in the story. We are continuing to investigate this matter and will fulfill our journalistic responsibility for critical self-examination.”

Cross Country rival still continues to poke fun of their disgraced counterparts. A damn shame!

NYT’s went through their scandal too. They should fall back. No one is perfect.

Its funny though cause although NYT is a national newspaper much like LAT, they’re reporting it like its the Gov. Spitzer scandal. Really giving them the business.

Before the story ran, Diddy said that any implication he was involved in the shooting was ridiculous. Oh well.
