If you don’t take notice and let them know that people are aware they will continue to do it with the ignorance of thinking that the people they are targeting don’t get their way of thinking.

Put them on blast every time, in a constructive way, so they know that people aren’t stupid. I’m sure they aren’t going to be stopped any time soon but it will open the eyes of those who don’t quite pay too much attention and make them aware of the lies fox tries to put over on the people who tune in.

I believe you’re correct Kerry. But I think M. Thomas makes a good point. Remember the purpose of the post was to discuss the REACTION to the Fox News report suggesting that there was an issue with any endorsement coming from a “hate group.” I personally scoured the internet and the NBPP site (which is terrible) to get confirmation but I couldn’t find any. I have reached out to the NBPP but have received no response as of the writing of this comment.
I posted the story anyway because I felt it was important to address the way in which the story was covered by the media. This wasn’t a two bit blog that reported it…this was FOX NEWS a major news source (albeit a very biased one.) If you’re correct in your assessment Kerry, it’s not only irresponsible of them to assert there’s something wrong with the endorsement but also reporting it without confirmation. Don’t Tread On Me, you are a worthy debate opponent. I commend you. Your point about perception is strong. Perception is everything. As a marketing profession I do understand that its not about what you mean its what your consumer THINKS you mean. HOWEVER, we as INFORMED and RESPONSIBLE Americans need to transcend such illogical journalism. We need to be able to think for ourselves using common sense and not “follow the sheep over the cliff as you’ve stated.”
I can’t argue with you about Rev. Wright. I wish I could tell you why Obama would befriend someone for 20 years who he felt didn’t alight with his ideology or had a disdain for America or certain ethnic groups.
However it all doesn’t matter. I liken it to my grandfather. An immigrant from the Dominican Republic, a former indentured servant, very poor but My Hero. I learned hard work, respect and pride valuable qualities that I would never trade in. However my grandfather didn’t believe in education. Does that make ME less of a person because I love my grandfather (god rest his soul?) I think not. Not everyone in our life is as enlightened as we are however that doesn’t mean they can’t have a profound impact on our lives.

Well here is my insight…. The media blows things out of proportion and just because a group or person endorses a candidate does not mean that the person who is receiving the endorsement has to like them, know them personally, or agree with their views on any issues at all. I did not attack Hillary for Geraldine Ferraro’s comments. However many did. Now as to the suggestion that Hillary and McCain do not get adequate negative press. Its not there turn right now. The media likes to take turns and no I am not disappointed that it is not their turn or that they didn’t get mentioned.

NOW FOR THE S dot comment. He writes posts that appeal to intellectual people or people who like to think. So most of what I read on here is by him, therefore I am familiar with his views. NOW I like discussing the issues that S dot posts and would like to see more of a discussion and less of a debate. Your comment seem to encourage a debate and that’s why I responded. So if you want to, you can say I was beefing with you, but not S dot.

Well Kerry, the problem is that the media makes it seem like WHOEVER endorces Obama (be it NBPP, Rev. Wright, or Frodo and the Hobbits) will have an impact on his ability to function as a President. And it shouldn’t! It really shouldn’t matter who endorces him.

THE BLACK PANTHERS DID NOT ENDORSE OBAMA. There are over one-million user-created pages on mybarackobama.com. Anyone can create a page. I could create a page right now saying I’m Frodo and the Hobbits endorse Obama. The Black Panthers did not endorse Obama. It was a just page someone made to cause trouble. There is another page on mybarackobama.com from “Sean Hannity” endorsing Obama. Think that’s real? Idiots.

I want S. Stylus to get this upset when this happens to everyone not just who you are supporting at the time. Hillary was getting creamed but I didn’t see outraged posts by that. Its hard for me to accept your point because it seems extremely biased from what I have seen you write previously on the site. I believe you have a valid point but you don’t get upset when similar things happen to other politicians, people, or candidates for this election.

I think everyone is missing the point that S dot is making here. Obama should NOT have to denounce everyone that endorses him. His purpose of running for President is to get votes, so that he can become President. Sounds simple enough right? Why should he be scrutinized for the people who believe in what he stands for and have chosen to vote for him? It makes no sense. So if you or I ran for President and the pastor of our church started screaming about homosexuality being a sin, that should affect our ability to be President? Obama cannot control what other people say and feel. And neither can Mr. and Mrs. Media. So the whole country needs to get off it and let this man handle his BI!
