Hulu Leaves Beta And Launches For Everyone To Watch TV Online

Posted by Mike "Evorgleb" Belgrove

After several months of being in beta, Hulu can now be used by anyone.

Hopefully we all know what Hulu is by now. If not, I’ll give you the short story. Basically, the brass behind NBC and Fox decided that they no longer wanted their content on YouTube, so they partnered with each other to create a “TV-on-demand” website. The site took forever to get up and running and once it got running it stayed in “beta” for several more months which limited use to a handful or users who had special invites.

Luckily for yours truly I happen to be one of those few people who got their hands on an invite. Since then I’ve done a review on Hulu and have occasionally embedded full television programs right into my posts here on Highbrid Nation. I think it’s safe to say I really like the website.

Now months later, it looks like Hulu is finally ready for the big time and as of 1:48 am today Hulu has launched for use by anyone in the United Stated. To bring even more hype to the launch Hulu has announced a new partnership with Warner Bros. to provide content and also quadrupled the amount of content on the site since it was in beta.

I don’t think I should even go into more detail. Just head over to Hulu.com and enjoy watching some of your favorite TV shows on demand.

…oh yeh, I almost forgot to mention they also added full movies. To demostrate I’ve embedded the entire movie State Property. Yes, the entire movie.
