Gameloft To Build 15 Games to be played via iPhone
Gamers Around the World Rejoice.
It was rumored all week but confirmed by a press release issued earlier today Gameloft, a leading developer and publisher of games for mobile phones, intends to develop over 15 mobile games built upon Apple’s iPhone Software Development Kit (SDK.)
Rumors first surfaced after it was referenced during the company’s keynote speech at the recent Game Developers’ Conference. It will be some time until third party applications will become downloadable to devices via WiFi or EDGE. Games will likely only be available to purchase once the App Store launches later this summer.
Utilizing the SDK package, Gameloft development teams have been conjuring up titles to make a strong debut later this year. The goal: turn the iPhone into a revolutionary gaming device, made possible by its touch screen capability and strong 3D processor.
