BET’s College Hill 5 Takes Over the A-T-L: Must See TV?
Instead of students from jus one school, show will feature students of four different area colleges.
Today BET announced that its fifth season of COLLEGE HILL will not just focus on the lives of students at one school campus but an entire CITYCOLLEGE HILL 5: A-T-L will gather students from four different universities: Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, Georgia State University and the University of West Georgia and explore their experiences as they try to learn and avoid the burn. The housemates will work with Ludacris on a community project for his foundation and exchange ideas and culture with students during a trip to London, England. The season premiers tomorrow night (March 11) at 10:00 p.m. ET.
Although I had written previous seasons off as nonsense, I did wind up catching a few episodes here and there when they were in the Virgin Islands and it was mildly entertaining. I think Tracey Edmonds and the show’s creators have done an excellent job of revitalizing the show. One thing I’ve always wanted them to do however was throw a white girl from Suburbia up in the mix and make it the opposite of the Real World. Now THAT would be some MUST SEE TV. None the less, something tells me this season will be pretty good…definately rowdy.Â
Here’s are brief bios of each of each of the housemates:
Anthony, 24, is a junior mass media arts major attending Clark Atlanta University, originally from South Orange, New Jersey. He is currently the oldest member of the Atlanta house, who prides himself on being part of one of the biggest club promoting businesses in Atlanta. When he isn’t out promoting with his boys, he can be found kicking it with his girlfriend Asia.
Dorion, 19, is a sophomore mass communications major attending Clark Atlanta University, originally from Beaumont, Texas. He has traveled to go to school in Atlanta, where he hopes to make his mark in the fashion industry. When he is not hitting the books, Dorion is an aspiring model.
Shavon, 22, is a senior fashion merchandising major attending Clark Atlanta University, originally from College Park, Georgia. Shavon is an Atlanta girl through and through. A recent transfer to Clark, she’s still
getting to know her classmates. A true hustler, Shavon is always working, whether it’s modeling or waiting tables at Hooters.Drew, aka “Dru-Ski,” 21, is a senior mass communications major attending the University of West Georgia, originally from Atlanta, Georgia. A rapper, in the midst of laying down his first self-produced album, Drew lives and breathes music as anyone around him can tell you. When he’s not rapping, he’s hustling, either waiting tables or cutting hair for a few extra bucks.
Dennis, 19, is a sophomore sociology major attending Morehouse College, originally from Columbia, South Carolina. He is the youngest housemate, who hopes to one day become an entertainer. Dancing and performing are his passions, and he is always free styling, whether he’s at a video shoot or
just hanging with his boys.Ashley L., 22, is a senior business management major attending Georgia State University, originally from Savannah, Georgia. She is one of the few cast members who were born and raised in Atlanta. Ashley L. fills every moment not studying with dance. Whether it’s cheerleading, gymnastics, or
go-go dancing, she loves to perform.Ashley R., 21, is a senior marketing major attending Georgia State University, originally from Lithonia, Georgia. When she is not studying, she is usually spending time with her boyfriend Michael. After college, she hopes to continue her career in modeling and acting, possibly relocating to
Los Angeles.Sira, 22, is a senior finance major attending Georgia State University, originally from Guinea, West Africa. Sira spent much of her childhood in West Africa until her parents decided to move her family to Georgia to give them more opportunities in their lives. Not one to let her parents down, Sira takes her studies very seriously. Although most of the cast members are strangers, Sira knows there will be one friendly face in the house as she and Ashley L. are best friends at Georgia State.
