Marketing Matters: Dr. Dre To Develop A Line Of Beverages

legendary producer inks deal with ‘Drinks Americas’ to create and develop premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

Dr. Dre has partnered with Drinks Americas Holdings, Ltd to develop and market his own line of premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

At the forefront of his beverage line is a premium congac, a sparkling vodka (still in development) and a foray into the premium tequila circle ( I would assume a Patron knock-off). Dre will share in equal arrangement the responsibilities of developing and marketing the products.

This is not the first time Drinks Americas has partnered with someone in entertainment but this is a first to reach out to someone in Hip Hop. Drinks Americas’ other partnership include Donald Trump’s award winning Trump Super Premium Vodka, Willie Nelson’s Old Whiskey River Bourbon and Paul Newman’s Lightly Sparkling Fruit Juice Drinks and Flavored Waters.

Dre stated: “I’m always down for a new challenge. When Drinks Americas approached me about going into business with them, I knew there was a lot of competition out there but it was the same way when I started doing music. I’m going to put the best product out there, because that’s what I do.”
