Jessica Alba does ‘Latina’. So Now That She’s Pregers She’s Embracing Her Hispanic Heritage? What a Fraud!

Posted by Juan

This girl is beatiful but I don’t trust her as far as I could throw her.

jessica alba

So Jessica Alba is now Latina again. Can you believe this ish?! Jessica Alba’s pregnant ass graces the cover of LATINA magazine. Yes this is the same Jessica Alba who I broiled back in June for her comments denouncing her Hispanic heritage.

Please let me preface by saying I think she’s goooorgeous.  She looks great here and I’m very happy for her, the baby and her fiance, film producer boyfriend Cash Warren.  But I can’t take this.  As the product of a Dominican/ African-American marriage I can’t understand her confusion regarding racial identity. At first I was disappointed in her because she didn’t identify with her Latin heritage and gave dumb blonde reasoning why.  But now that she’s flip flopping she needs to be held accountable.

As I said before, society has made it cool for Hispanics to entertain on the baseball field, work manual labor or for blacks to hit jumpshots or shuck and jive on the big screen.  What I failed to identify at the time was that black and Hispanic outlook are completely different.  Although African Americans choose to embrace this underdog mentality, fair-skinned Hispanics do not.  To that end she is the victim.  As I said in my post about Telemundo Racism.  To Hispanics lighter is better.  As black people we can’t escape our skin color its a physical part of us.   But the positive images portrayed to Hispanic culture in the media is lighter is better and White is superior.

However where she becomes the culprit is when she uses her background only when it benefits her.  If she weren’t an actress she’s check “HISPANIC” to maximize her chances at winning a job or getting financial aid.  But being in the business, she told everyone who would listen she was white.  But now that you’re pregnant, you’re posing on Latina magazine?  Have you had a change of heart?  Cause your skin and ancestors are still the same mama.

Did you read through the article? She’s been bashed on a lot by people because of the way she looks. Like when she went to a Latin media event in 2003 and the reporters there started asking her questions in Spanish, probably asking her why she was there even though she looks white. She couldn’t respond because when she was growing up, her dad didn’t speak Spanish to her. If she said that she was white, it might’ve been out of shame for her not knowing her language. I know plenty of people who can’t speak their own language, even when their parents are 100% Korean.

I don’t even get how you can say something like “she’d check “Hispanic” for financial aid.” How can you possibly say that without even getting to know the woman? It isn’t as if I know her either, but you don’t even give her the benefit of a doubt. Maybe you should read through the article to get a better idea of the person you’re bashing and then put up a second opinion.

Why is Spanish “her” language if she dosen’t know it. I have German roots and Irish, but I identify myself as American becasue my parent were born here and their parents…. I take pride in my heritage just as I think everyone should… there are good things and bad thing about ever race I don’t care who you are that’s just fact. Who’s to say they one is better than the other, that’s raceism. if she flip flops then that’s her fault. I don’t know her and I can’t say anything about that really. I just don’t like it when people play the race card. I mean seriously why was I put on a waiting list for college while a classmate that had lower scores on everything got straight in? some people call that revers raceism, but that term in it’s self is raceist. This isn’t to bash anyone. I agree with the above post.
“Maybe you should read through the article to get a better idea of the person you’re bashing and then put up a second opinion.”
Also to that they should be judged and accounted for who they actually are.
I’m tired of people saying “I’m Hispanic” or I’m “black/African American” You want to know the problem with our country? It is that no one is loyal to it. No one wants to work anymore. It’s all about me me me… I think there should be less put on the race of people and more of the character and ability. If you don’t like someone based on those then I don’t have a problem with that.
In general I see that famous actors…. basically the same as politicians. They both talk a lot. They do what they do for a lot of money or power and very few of them are straight talkers/actors. If u don’t like them. don’t vote for them or go watch there movies or buy their merchendice… why do they get millions and complain about the rich and talk about the poor unfortunate people that can’t even have something to eat everyday… why don;t they give it all away then? All in all big deal, whoever cares about little crap like this needs to just get over it and if they still don’t like it the o well.
