PacketVideo has invented a portable device that transfers Live TV to be viewable on handheld devices. Readers might have heard of certain companies like Slingbox that has this same capabilities. The twist on PacketVideo is it works on Wi-Fi. This should excite people with Iphones and Ipods because Slingbox is not yet compatible with Apple’s OS. PV’s mobile broadcast receiver runs on a lithium-ion battery and has about a 3 hour battery life. The only disadvantage is that it runs on batteries. BUT who really watches that much TV.
