MARKETING MATTERS/New Music Video: Alesha Dixon, “Just For You I Will”

Posted by Mike "Evorgleb" Belgrove

British Beauty pimps herself for new For Focus

Over here in the state we don’t really know too much about Alesha Dixon. What I can tell you is that she’s talented, beautiful and won the U.K. show “Stricly Come Dancing”. To promote her new single, she partnered with Ford for what can only be described as half music video/ half car commercial. It seems odd to see a car smack in the middle of a performance music video but it somehow works. Could this be the future of music videos? We all know artists get paid for product placement but could we see that transform into music videos that double as TV commercials for a product or brand? I’ll let you guy’s check the video and weigh in.

LOL Dos Un. From a marketing perspective it works. Its non-evasive and engages fans in the product she’s promoting. I think you’re right Gleb, this is the age of the future.
