ROCKSTAR: No Grand Theft Auto Flick and Rumors of Eminem starring obviously False
Broke My Heart
Last week video game junkies and their blogs were buzzing about rumors of a “Grand Theft Auto” movie and Eminem being cast to play the lead. Well sorry people…they’re false. Not only is Eminem not involved in the project but there is no project.
“Some movie producers were trying to put something together to entice us to make a movie, as studios and production teams frequently have done in the past,” Vice president of creative at Rockstar Video, Dan Houser, told MTV.com. “This proposal was no more interesting than the numerous others we receive. We never entertained proceeding with the project.”
Entertaining?! Yo that movie could be absolutely bananas. Of course in addition to Em you’d have to cast Busta Rhymes to be the angry black dude chop shop owner, my man Chazz Palminteri to play the Italian mobster, Benicio Del Toro to play the Latin Drug Lord…yo I could go on for days.
