H-Nation Joke: Leroy and the Gator
…
Gary Wallace the richest man in Hartsville County, FL, a small town with about 200 citizens, throws a party for the town. The big shindig is like a holiday for everyone, except for Leroy the only black in Gainsville. This year Gary decided as, as an act of kindness, to personally invite Leroy. Everyone was excited to see Leroy at the party because he mainly stayed to himself.
Gary’s estate was beautiful. In the backyard, where the gathering was held, laid a pool that was the largest body of water in the county surrounded by two tennis courts. Gary took special care of Leroy during the party, introducing him to everyone and making sure he was well fed. About 4 o’clock Gary called everyone together and offered a challenge. “There is a large gator in my pool and I will give $100,000 dollars to the person who gets him out.” The next thing you know there is a large splash. Everyone turns to see what happened and found Leroy in the pool wrestling the alligator. He’s punching and twisting, trying to make sure he stays alive. After about five minutes Leroy gets out of the pool dragging the gator behind him and everyone starts cheering.
Gary walks over with a check made out to Leroy and offers it to him. “No no I don’t want your money, sir.”
Gary is shocked, “Well allow me to give you $1,000.”
“No sir I don’t need your money, let me just go home.”
“Leroy, now you are a guest at my party and you ought ta let me give you something for getting that gator out of my pool.”
After moments of thinking Leroy finally broke down, “Well sir, you could give me the name of the person who pushed me in the damn pool.”
