A Few Thought’s from a Life-Long Giants Fan
Champs of Superbowl XLII
First let me say congratulations to Eli, Strahan, Osi, Justin Tuck (huge game), Brandon, Antonio, The O-Line, Coach Tommy C and the entire New York Giants on making history and snapping the 18 game winning streak of the New England Patriots to capture my 3rd Superbowl Championship. I couldn’t be more proud.
I won’t bore you with particulars of the game…you can go elsewhere for that analysis. My first thoughts are with a miserable Tiki Barber. Isn’t Karma a bitch…BITCH! Here you are, one year removed from being the teams only star and you’re forced to have to watch from the sidelines then do a post game interview on the quaterback you called “soft” and “lacking leadership.” Hmmmm…boy either you were very wrong or fired dude the f*ck up. Here’s the clip.
Secondly, I want to bring up a point that YOU WON’T Read other places. In this, BLACK HISTORY MONTH, I must bring to your attention that Jerry Reese, the Giant’s first year General Manager became the FIRST BLACK GM TO WIN THE SUPERBOWL! Now is that important…no! But it proves he’s just “a good GM.” He took a lot of heat in the pre-season for not “improving” the team but his rookie class that he drafted is the BEST CLASS I’ve ever seen and I challenge someone to show me another. Aaron Ross, Kevin Boss, Steve Smith Ahmad Bradshaw and even Jay Alford, all Giants rookies not only contributed but each had huge game winning plays in this playoff run. So Jerry I salute you although no one else will. The former GM, Ernie Acorsi, a good man, also deserves a lot of credit for the man I will mention next, Eli Manning.
Its crazy how much can happen in a season. Because of the aforementioned Tiki Barber retiring, The Giants were handicapped by Vegas as the SECOND LONGEST ODDS to win the Superbowl. I hope some lucky sap actually bet that and won a FORTUNE! Eli Manning was called a shell of his brother lacking “fire” and “leadership” to be a winner in the NFL. I guess those questions are answered. I don’t think he’ll have to answer those questions ever again. I’ve always loved the underdog and Eli and the team he lead personified that spirit.
So to the entire Giants team and our late owners Wellington Mara and Robert Tisch…congratulations. To all my Giant’s fans…I’ll see you at the parade!

I know Tiki was SICK to have to do that story
Tiki…Charma is a bitch…any event it was a great game by the Giant defense.
Very ironic. The Patriots went from being associated with 19-0 to the Giants being associated with 18-1. Ironic.
