Montell Williams is off the chain. Not only does he have one of the most self centered talk shows on TV (Tyra got him beat by a mile though), he tends to be a little off his rocker (like why is Sylvia Brown on the show every single weak with the fake psychic stuff?). However dude often speaks the truth when no one else wants to or just afraid to do it.

Recently he was invited onto Fox News’ morning show to discuss and speculate about Heath Ledger’s death. I’m not sure who booked Montell but I’m sure they regret it now because instead of joining in to talk about the mysterious death of the Dark Knight actor, he chose to condemn Fox News for even talking about it so much when there are troops in the Middle East dying every day without their story being told. One of the anchors almost let it slip out of his mouth that the war is old news and people don’t care anymore but stops short and decides to instead talk about how Fox covered the war years ago.

As a soldier in the U.S. Army who has been to Iraq, is pisses me off how the media has started to act like the war doesn’t exist anymore. Nothing has changed over there yet people aren’t caring anymore. I’m feeling Montell on this one. Heath Ledger was a great actor but he wasn’t a hero. As an entertainment blog Highbrid Nation has only posted about Heath’s death twice. Yet major “news” networks are spending more time with speculation and rumors than real news?

I’m registered Independent so I can’t vote in the upcoming Pennsylvania Primaries. However I encourage all of you who are registered with a party to vote in your state and make the wars in the Middle East a factor in who you vote for.
