Giuliani Out! His Arrogant America’s 9/11 Mayor Platform Did Him in

Don’t let the door hit you in the Ass…SEE YA!

BYE BYE

Well its official former NYC Mayor, Rudy Giuliani and hater of everything cool has officially admitted defeat and announced he is dropping his bid for the Presidential Race.

Giuliani’s entire campaign was based off of a very strong American ideal, arrogance. So often we as American’s think that entire world should care about our democracy, our politics, music, fashion, sports, the list goes on. We are ARROGANT as a nation. It is this same arrogance is the fuel (no pun intended) behind our opposition in the middle east and the motivation behind the 9/11 terror attacks. Please Note: by no means am I advocating what happened.

So ironically he used his handling of 9/11 as his platform. ARROGANCE! As a New Yorker I can remember how sick i was following the attacks but as a student at West Virginia University I was unfortunately in the minority. Sure everyone was saddened but not affected as I was, no classes were canceled, no immediate action taken. Although the Pennsylvania wreckage was less than 20 miles from the university, the community was not immediately effected.

New York is a slice in a much large pie and Giuliani has yet to realize this OR DOESN’T care. Like the violence in the Middle Eastern, arrogant Americans feel removed from it because they don’t witness it first hand. 9/11 politics is no longer relevant to most Americans.  He was attempting to ride on his laurels as “America’s Mayor” a sentiment many Americans didn’t share and a post they didn’t elect him to. Perhaps he was counting on all the ex-NYers who are now Floridians to recall the pains of 9/11.

But ultimately it was lack of a political stance and his liberal views on abortion, as pre-marital affair, lack of loyalty from his own kids that didn’t sit well with southern conservatives. And for me…it was much more than that. Many forget that 9/11 was ELECTION DAY in New York. The day we were to elect Giuliani’s successor and to that point in his 8 year tenure he had done nothing but terrorize (no pun intended) minorities and the poor. I didn’t forget that sh*t and you got what you deserved. Like the 9/11 mantra says “We will Never Forget.” Good Riddens!
