Dash dips into the vault (again) to bring mini series documenting early rise of “The Roc”
Another Desperate Attempt?
I gotta hand it to Dame. He’s a true warrior and warriors never admit defeat. In a desperate effort to promote his social networking site, BlockSavvy which was debuted twice, He has once again reached into his Roc-A-Fella vault to bring a new mini-series documenting the building of Roc-A-Fella Records.
The 10 part mini-series dubbed “Roc-A-Fella Family” will be available exclusively on BlockSavvy.com and follows the likes of Jay Z, Beanie Sigel, Freeway, and Young Gunnaz through the early days of the label. industry and provides an inside look at the figures who once held up the titanic record label.
Last fall, Dame Dash made similar head lines when he and Roc-A-Fella silent partner, Kareem “Biggs” Burke released via BlockSavvy, previously unreleased covers of Jay Z’s “Reasonable Doubt.” Many have criticized Dash for using his limited controlling interest in label relics as his only card to promote his new struggling ventures…I for one am one of them. Stop it….you’re talented Dame and a lot of entrepreneurs look up to you. Your Nicky Barnes flick would have done much better if you didn’t release it at the same time as the summer block buster American Gangster. USE YOUR CONNECTIONS TO GET ON YOUR FEET…you won’t be down forever. Via Defsounds
