Bill Clinton Explains Nap During MLK Speach

Posted by Juan

I accept your apology Bill

Clinton

I guess Bill Clinton has taken a different approach, and probably a better one, in his post-presidential era, TELLING THE TRUTH.  When asked about his little nap during at Harlem’s Convent Avenue Baptist Church during a recent event honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., he blamed it on a severe lack of proper rest during his wife’s busy campaign.  THAT’S FAIR…I can’t hate on you.  If you got head…YOU GOT HEAD.  I can’t hate on you just fess up.  I guess I’m in the minority on the latter.

“I had had three hours sleep two days in a row, and it was hot and I had to sit there for four hours,” Clinton explained to Banks.  “The truth is, even when I was younger, I would’ve had a hard time going two nights on three hours of sleep both nights, and sitting in a hot church for four hours. I woke up when Shirley Franklin popped me and I thought I gave a good talk there.”

  1. This sleeping situation is getting out of hand. Now his wife says you can attribute his recent outburst about Jesse Jackson to her husband not getting any sleep. Perhaps its best that he takes a much needed rest.

  2. I honestly might have fallen asleep myself.

  3. E. A. Smith says:

I use to do that all the time in a 2 hour service. It’s real embarassing when you are up front like that too.
