New Movie Trailer: Meet The Browns
Another Tyler Perry movie starring…um…a bunch of black folks.
Tyler Perry continues to make a ton of cash turning his stage plays into motion pictures. There seems to be only a handful of popular black actors in Hollywood and of course this move has one, Angela Bassett. The premise of the story is something like “single black mother is struggling, then she finds out her father that she never knew died. She goes to the funeral to find a new family and a new life for herself and son”. Of course Madea, Perry’s female alter-ego makes an appearance and seems to be setting the stage for a Madea Goes To Jail(another Perry play) movie.
This one may be at least a film worth making a date out of.
Glad to see Angela Bassett working. I cannot remember the last time I saw her in front of the camera.
