Lupe Fiasco Set to Retire From Rap
Heard it all before.
This is like the new phenomena in the rap world: B or C grade MC announces his retirement after his second LP and not even putting a dent in the game. The latest member of this club is Lupe Fiasco. Lupe announced that he will quit rap to become a novelist. The Chicago mc says one more LP than his main priority is writing a book. He says, “I have one more album in me and then I’m out. I’ve been doing this music hustle for eights years and have more things I still want to do. There are other ways besides putting out an album that allow me to channel my creative energy and I’m writing a book about a window washer. I will have more than enough to keep me busy.”

The name of his last album willl be “Lup End” like in the old arcade games when u had the high score but they only let u put three letters or initials. Also, Lupe is very deep rapper and I think he went wrong by the singles he put out because alot of his other songs are more initially appealing aka radio friendly but his mentor,Jay Z, said to never chase radio and it seems like he took heed to that. To me Lupe is an iceberg.

What the fuck. Calling Lupe Fiasco a B or C grade MC is blasphemy. Whichever dumb nigga wrote this should just stop listening to rap, because he don’t know shit about it anyway.
Lupe is a lyrical genius, his flow is amongst the best ever, and may be THE best of all time. He will go down as one of hip-hop’s greatest legends, and the rap world is going to lose one of the all-time greats if he does actually retire.
Its sad that he is thinking of giving up rap but in today’s game he would have never gotten his respect. In a game where lil wayne is even being considered the “best rapper alive” lupe will never be respected until he is long gone.
