Ghostface Gets at His Fans
Tony Starks is upset over Soundscan
His point is valid, but at the same time its the way the game is Ghost Still has tons of fans and his shows always sell out. Good Looks Nah Right

Shame on him for thinking friends on myspace even translates into actual fans. half of those friends are probably “young hot teens wanting hi to take a look at their web cam pics”
I say it all the time, The music industry refuses to understand that people don’t want to buy music anymore. Unless the labels can figure out a business model where they can give away musc for free and make money doing so ,they will continue to see declining sales.
The TV networks figured it out. The movie industry figured it out. The music industry is the last major media business that refuses to learn.
^^^How are TV and Movies free Gleb? ^^^
Through subscription services and ad based business models (OnDemand, Hulu, ect.)

Gleb I’m not buying your logic. You still need to pay for those services in one way shape or form. Radio…that’s free but now they’re even trying to monetize that by selling you Satellite or HD radio. What they need to do is sell music sponsorships. Cut and dry. Yes it waters down the industry but its vaporizing as is.
People keep on trying to figure out why music isn’t selling, and are discussing new business models and radically changing the industry. I really dont believe its that complex, yes down loading has effected the music biz but downloading is nothing new. I think most of the music sucks and people are broke thats why albums aren’t selling. Think about it the avg. person/consumer has Rent/Mortgage/Car Payments/Cell phone/House phone/Cable/Loans/Credit Cards/Fuel Prices are at an all time high/Unemployment is up/wages are door/the poor is getting poorer, and the middle class is disappearing
when you stack all of this up buying music is the last thing on peoples list.
But even the rich aren’t buying albums. That’s the point.
The rich make up a small percentage of the entire music buying population and there usually not the target audience. The other problem with Rap Music in particular is that there are way too many rappers. Its almost corny to rap now!
