TV Commentator’s comments about Venus’ booty lands him in hot water.

What’s the problem?

Venus

The fellas here at Highbrid Nation have a tendency to obsess over the female body, particularly her ass (see Dos Un’s infamous Fat Back Award.) Well it looks like the Australian Open’s Television Tennis commentators have the same problem. Australia’s Channel Seven commentator, Roger Rasheed made remarks about Venus Williams’ ass during a slow motion replay of her match against China’s Yan Zi, which Venus won 6-2, 7-5.

“Take a look at this now. Make or think as you will, ladies, but for me, that’s a pretty good sight,” he explains to his partners Tracy Austin and Nicole Bradtke as Venus’ hindquarters graced the screen. The station received a number of calls complaining about the remarks, but no action will be taken against Rasheed.

You damn right.  Judging by the name “Rasheed” he’s an expert on these type of things, so what are we complaining about?   Now wouldn’t sports be so much more entertaining (and I guess far less politically correct) if commentators spent more time featuring those fabulously athletic female bodies?

SIDENOTE:  Dos Un and I used to talk about how basketball color analyst should spend more time talking about players kicks.  Not only would it draw in more young African American viewers but would help in selling TV sponsorships.
