Oh and now you can download movies from iTunes the moment they hit DVD
Yo check this out. You don’t need to be a tech geek to appreciate Apple’s new laptop that CEO Steve Jobs unveiled today at the Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco. The new super-slim model is less than an inch thick and turns on the moment it’s opened. Bet your computer can’t do that.
Showing off, Jobs unveiled the ultra-thin MacBook Air notebook computer which had been concealed in a standard manila office envelope he was holding. The new computer is at its slimmest 0.16 inches and comes standard with an 80-gigabyte hard drive, with the option of a 64GB flash-based upgrade.
Jobs also confirmed what was widely rumored that Apple is getting into the online movie rentals business. The company will team up with six major movie studios to offer films over via iTunes over high-speed Internet connections the moment they’re released on DVD. By the end of February, iTunes will grant access to more than 1,000 movies with prices of $2.99 for older movies and $3.99 for new releases.
Oh and oh by the way, Jobs also said they’ve sold 4 million iPhones during their first 200 days on sale! JEEZE!
