The Wu is Officially over

The beef within the Wu-Tang Clan has been heavily documented here on H.N. and it seems as if the drama continues. U-God has filed a lawsuit against Wu Music Group claiming he’s owed $170k in unpaid royalties. In the Suit U-God whose real name is Lamont Hawkins is claiming he has not received advances due from the 8 diagrams project that was released last December.

Hawkins is also suing Wu Music for $50,000 from his involvement in the group’s Rock The Bells tour appearances, $60,000 from the publishing deal with BMG, the $40,000 advance from the “8 Diagrams” album and his share of proceeds from sales of Wu-Tang related merchandise.

On top of the $170,000 U-God is seeking 9% interest on the sum as well as attorney fees.

Damn Homie/ In High School you was the man Homie/ Eff happened to you. Wu was and still is my favorite rap group of all time. I’m sad as a fan to see it end this way. Money and Ego’s always destroy the best groups and Wu is no exeption. I hope things can be patched up but its not looking good for Shaolins Finest. By the Way it hurts my heart to say this but 8 diagrams was trash. Raekwon was right. (GAME BLOUSES)!
