Controversial Episode of ‘The Boondocks’ zapped by BET?

Posted by Juan

Episode depicts BET heads as corporate dictators

What Deb…You can’t take a joke?

Ooooh boy. And we thought censorship was dead.  An episode of highly acclaimed and controversial “The Boondocks” apparently has been put on freeze.  Ironically that same episode is said to have spit venom at  BET and its executives Debra Lee and Reginald Hudlin.  The episode was supposed to air last Monday but never made it and there’s no indication that it ever will.

However somehow some previews of the damned episode have leaked on to YouTube.  In it, Huey goes on a hunger strike against BET and is supported by Reverend Rollo Goodlove.   Cee-Lo Green narrates the episode in which BET’s Deborah Lee-vil is depicted as the Female Dr. Evil of television.

Sounds like entertainment to me.  Its such a shame that people don’t have enough self esteem especially at that level to be able to laugh at themselves or at least be able to stomach someone roasting you.  Athletes endure that punishment all day.  Want to make the big bucks and run high profile media conglomerates?  Then you’re fair game as a public figure.  MAN UP DEBRA and BET grow some balls.  Where’s Bob Johnson when you need him?

That’s that bull I’m talking about, we can criticize the President and make ill fun of him, but don’t talk about a black person or all hell will break loose. We fight the wrong ish….

Thats funny that the episode says the same thing I’ve been saying for a while, which is that BET copies everything MTV does show for show and just puts black people in it. 106&Park= TRL. College Hill = Real World. and the list goes one.

Black people censoring Black People is never good. Its funny b/c the BET program American Gangster had an episode with George W. Bush as the subject that never aired.

i’m not really worried about it though I’m sure before long the episode will be “leaked” an it will be on HN and a million other sites in its entirety
