Vick to be Released Early?
By submitting to Drug Rehab he could be back on the field in 2009.
Looks like embattled Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick might finally be catching his first break in a while. Vick has applied to be admitted to a prison-monitored drug rehabilitation program in Leavenworth, KS which would trigger an earlier release enabling him to get back on the field for the 2009-10 season.
According to Yahoo! Sports an official with the Federal Bureau of Prisons said Friday that Vick was being transported to a minimum security satellite prison where he would begin the program. Under the agreement, Vick could be released after only 12 months of his 23-month sentence. In hindsight although his failed drug test at the time of his arrest had little effect on his sentencing it may in fact be the loophole the springs him from jail early. Without the early release Vick is set to be released in the summer of 2009, putting his NFL season squarely in doubt. We’ll see…keep you in our prayers Mike.

yeah, let’s waste God’s time on this idiot.
