UPDATE: Mitchell Investigation Released; Names of MLB Steroid Users Extensive
List includes High Profile Players both past and present
UPDATE!!! Highbrid Nation obtained an advanced copy of the presumed list of steroid users by an unnamed source close to the situation. That list that included players who were in fact implicated by the Mitchell Report and some who in fact WERE NOT. We apologize to the players whose names appeared on our list but weren’t named by the Mitchell investigation. It is our intention to get the story right the first time, however in the rare event that we are wrong we assume full responsibility. To see the complete and accurate list please click here.
George Mitchell was recruited by Major League Baseball to investigate the steroid epidemic that has been rampid in the sport since the 1990′s. Today a list of about 80 names was released including former MVPs and Cy Young winners. The report named after Mitchell contains over 300 pages of personal accounts from interviews conducted with trainers and a former Mets Clubhouse attendant. It was released to the public at 2PM today. Here are some of the most notable names.
Honestly I’m a not very surprised at most of these names. They fit a common profile of players who have had a history of injury and or have broken down during the course of their careers. I guess the most surprising to me is Andy Pettite. For so long we’ve associated sluggers with steroids. As the years have passed we’ve seen a few pitchers implicated as well. With Roger Clemens being implicated it only makes sense that his friend Andy Pettite follow suit. It will be interesting to see if Clemens now will be discounted as a first ballot candidate for the Hall of Fame. If Mark McGuire’s denial is an indicator he probably will be.
The dirtiest player on this list is Dante Bichette. ESPN’ s Sportscenter did a full feature on his life after baseball. In it he indicating that he NEVER took steroids and tells his little league team that he coaches, never to use steroids. Now you’re on the list? Should have kept his mouth closed.

juicers
ah the guys who like to poke themselves in the butt with needles.
I was hoping everyone was on the list so we could just move on. Representatives from EVERY team were represented on the list. Incredible.
