I saw this a minute ago and discredited it as another former aquaintance of a rapper throwing rocks at the thrown out of jealousy. However there seems to be something to the De-Haven/ Jay-Z conflict. Seems like he’s got beef with everyone. I guess its like that what when you’re on top.

A Little Background: De-Haven Irby is former mid level drug dealer and former “friend” of Jay-Z’s from Brooklyn’s Marcy Housing projects where Jay grew up. As Jay-Z rose in the rap game and seperated himself from his people back home their relationship swayed.

Recently Irby took his feud to YouTube releasing a series of venmo filled rants (one of which is above) about how Hov turned his back on the people who helped make him famous and how he exaggerates his criminal past.

Well I haven’t had a chance to listen to the entire American Gangster album, in part because Jay decided to keep it off iTunes but that’s who Jay was coming at on the song “No Hook.”

“Fuck De-Haven for cavin’, that’s why we don’t speak. Made men ain’t supposed to make statements. End of the story, I followed the code, cracked the safe. Other niggas ain’t in the game so they practice hate. Leave that boy Hov alone, why don’t ya.”

In effort to claim his 15 minutes, Irby has been busy promoting a tell-all book and DVD which details testimony from other snitch ass former Jay associates. In his interview with New York Magazine, He spews more venom calling Jay “not much of basketball player” and says during their time living together they “shared women and got the drip.” SMITH!

I figured it was good as time as any to share this venom in honor of the return of Star and Buc Wild. The most definately would be all over this story and would have invited Irby for an in-studio interview. I love how this cat decides 15 years later that he just NOW feels that Jay isn’t doing his part to help his former crib buddies. Uhhhh my man if you were in his position you wouldn’t either. I’m feeling the venom however.
