Jay-Z / Dame Dash Beef (Round 7): Dame to Publish Reasonable Doubt to iTunes
An obvious shot at Jay-Z’s recent rejection of the controlled file sharing system
With all the recent beefs both fabricated and authentic in the hip hop arena by far the most in-depth and layered is that between Jay-Z and his former business partner Dame Dash. Although you won’t get much from either side in terms of venom or mudslinging, the proof is in their movements and business dealings.
I’ve recently become somewhat of an iTunes junkie. I find it ultra convenient with my schedule that doesn’t afford me much time to make visits to Best Buy to peruse the music isles for new joints. In a recent search to purchase some classics that I never owned or misplaced, I noticed that Reasonable Doubt (among other HOF albums) wasn’t available. Well Dame (and Kareem “Biggs” Burke) are about to change that and cake off while doing it.
But why now? Ahhhh wasn’t it Jay who recently announced he was withholding American Gangster from iTunes? Ahhhh…the old smack in the face. The only problem is however the album as a whole is so crack that I can’t see anyone truly buying singles from it which was hov’s fear by selling American Gangster. At this point the album is proven successful in its entirety. If you want it on iTunes its because you’ve heard the album many times and love it…now you want it on your iPod or like me misplaced the cd when moving. So it works for Dame’s pockets but in theory only proves Jay’s point further. WINNER….JAY-Z.

What is the 4th, 5th return?

Dame seems a little obsessed with Reasonable Doubt. In the past has he has refered to it and Jay-Z’s best album. I’m guess he feels that way because that was the album he was most involved on.
It probably was his purest album. He’s obsessed with it because he owns the masters.
