Yeah I was looking at that unit the difference was it didn’t have its own modem. It required a USB hookup.

Sony had a similar product a type of reading tablet and you could cop the books of amazon I guess amazon said eff the middle man

Good point Frank…If you have unlimited Internet Access why not just look at your favorite Magazines and Newspapers on the browser instead of subscribing. A little bit of a glitch.

Seems like a bit of a money pit to me. Why pay for newspaper subscriptions when you can get almost everything online for free? The wireless anywhere feature is pretty nice, but this feels like something that hasn’t reached its full potential yet. It says you can read blogs on it, but you have to pay a monthly fee! That’s a hard sell if I’ve ever heard one…

Supply and Demand Jonathan. Agreed it will save paper. I was focusing on the academic uses. Naturally both will be marketed as potential reasons why everyone should own one.
