Jadakiss’ Induction To Roc-A-Fella Flop

Posted by Juan

Not exactly a Memorable Moment. Leaves something to be said for preparation.

You know how every time an artists signs to the Roc there’s always some type of dramatic unveiling. I guess its with any label really. I can remember the Through the Wire Video where Dame Dash puts the chain around Kanye’s neck while he threw up the Roc, or way back when DJ Clue first announced he was a Roc-La-Affiliate. I can even remember the dramatic moment on 106 & Park when Gin pulled out his Ruff Ryders chain while battling on Freestyle Friday.

It’s kind of like rap music’s version of a fraternity probate and always a cool moment and a usually a defining one for the artist. Well not so much for Jadakiss when Jay-Z dusted him off officially announcing his signing to Roc-A-Fella at a recent NYC concert. Peep the Video
