Tyra, Laughing All the Way to the “Banks”
Tyra Banks is proving that as an African American you don’t have to all about Hip Hop to make cheddar. Following in the vain of her talky idol, Oprah, Tyra has apparently inked an expansive production deal with Warner Bros that will expand her Bankable Production company. Exact money terms are undisclosed.
Under the terms of the multi-year contract Banks will not only continue run on her “Top Model” franchise which is filming its 10th cycle but also on her self titled talk show. In addition however, she will develop shows for Warner Bros. Television and reality series for Warner Horizon. She will also begin developing direct-to-DVD movie projects for Warner Premiere, starting with adaptations of the bestselling Clique series of teen novels.
Sounds like they’ve handed her the keys to the house. This is serious and empowering news for young black business women out there. Tyra is becoming a major player in the world of entertainment. I can’t say that I really saw this coming. I’m very proud of her. Although I don’t see the hype, I do realize that her programing is not skewed to my demo so I definitely respect the hustle. “Warner Bros. understands my brand and the reach and demand of our audience.” Banks said. As for series development, she’s looking forward to creating shows “that attract my core audience” and that are “aspirational and empowering.”

Tyra is doing her thug thizzle. Thats whats up!
its hard for me to beleive Tyra is smart. Maybe im wrong though.
