We all know that the hottest thing on the streets is the Curtis Album iPhone. The small device has managed to completely raise the bar when it comes to handhelds. Style, function, convenience. The iPhone has it all and only a powerhouse like Apple could pull it off. But can Google do better? That’s right. Google is looking to launch their own phone and it’s looking to be something very impressive.

Over the past year or so Google has been snatching up internet companies left and right and many of them operate in the mobile area. Check out the list…

- Jaiku: Site that allows users to create and read “micro-blogs” using various devices including mobile phones.
- GrandCentral: Site that allows users to create a single universal telephone number that all of their other phone numbers would forwoard to.
- Zingku: Site that “enhances” text messaging by allowing better message sending, pictures transfer ect.

It’s easy to imagine how cool a phone could be that could do all of those things. guess is that the companies listed above’s services would be intergrated into some sort of Google mobile operating system.

Other rumors are stating that the phones will include a monthly fee much lower than curreent mobile phone bills and that there would be no contract upon purchase! Also I’m hearing the phones have already stated being manufactured by a company call HTC.

Looks like we may have something on our hands that can mess with the iPhone but don’t expect it compete with the true king of cell phones, Beyonce’s B’Phone (note my sarcasm).
