An arbitrator ruled yesterday that Michael Vick the former Atlanta Falcons QB who plead guilty to federal dog fighting charges had to pay back almost $20 million to his former employee.
The falcons argued that Vick knew that he was in violation of his $130 million deal when he signed it in December of 04
The team said he used proceeds from the contract to fund his illicit activities and sought the repayment of $19,970,000 in bonuses he was paid out of a total of $22.5 million in 2005 and ‘06.
I really thought this would be the point where someone would stop the bleeding and put an end to this Mike Vick madness. That shows you how much I know. Talk about kicking a man when he’s down. He’s already lost his job, 100’s of millions of dollars in salary and endorsements, been publicly disgraced, plead guilty, apologized, about to do close to 2 yrs. in the feds, and completed animal sensitivity training with peta. Now you want him to pay back loot he doesn’t even have. Lets get back to reality folks were talking about dogs. Did he fund the operation? yes! Did he fight or kill dogs himself? No! There hasn’t been this much backlash over a human being getting killed. If people protested the War as hard as they protest Mike Vick the troops would be home right now. This proves one thing to me people value dogs lives more than humans. Perfect example OJ was ordered to pay $35 mill to the Goldman family only after beating the criminal trial, he lost in the civil for murdering two humans something he till this day wont admit he did. Mike Vick has to pay $20 mil for funding a dogfighting operation were a few dogs were killed and he’s already admitted guilt. So your telling me the humans were only worth $15 mil more.
