In an unexplainable move by the otherwise reclusive hip hop clothing design pioneer, Marc Ecko has announced that Barry Bonds’ record-setting home run ball which he purchased at auction is going to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY…with an asterisk.  Over the last several weeks Ecko promoted a website in which baseball fans could decide the fate of the ball.  The fans who logged on and voted decided that the infamous home run ball should be branded with an asterisk representing the questions about Bonds’ record legitimacy stemming from his alleged steroid use.

Ecko paid $752,467.  Barry later called Ecko an “idiot.”   Thats probably the first time I’d have to agree with Bonds.  I don’t understand the  move.  The only thing I can gather is Ecko now has the ability to indelibly be  enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame.  Its just cheesy though.  This is one of the most hollowed records in all of sports which has been tarnished enough by scandal and for this clown, who I had a lot of respect for until now  to do some  type of stunt like this  throws an even darker shroud on the game you all know I love very much.  No bueno.
