The official report is in from the authorities investigating DMX following a raid on his home on August 24th.  Two of the dogs found buried at there apparently had serious wounds indicating some type of animal neglect.  According to the report one of the dogs had a bite wounds and another had trauma to its abdomen, but there was an undetermined cause of death. Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said another dog carcass which was found had been burned so badly, the administered examinations were inconclusive.  Authorities also seized 12 live pit bulls, numerous weapons, and marijuana from the rapper’s bedroom,  Arpaio said.

DMX’s lawyer said he was not at the home during the raid and hadn’t stayed there for months and instead had caretakers and veterinarians on his payroll to care for his animals.  Choosing to take the “unfairly targeted celebrity” defense he said, “how do you attribute activities to a person who has not been there, when they have knowledge that other persons have been,” Richman said. “Is it because of the celebrity nature?”

Ahhhh…ok.  Bottom line is DMX is in trouble.  I’ve said it before, football players and rappers want to be each other so they interact in the same arenas.  In this case it may have been the dog fighting arena.  In the end DMX will fall to a similar fate of that of Michael Vick.  Obviously he won’t face Roger Goodell and the NFL nor will his image be tarnished as much as Vick, because…well his image wasn’t all that anyway but he’ll face some jail time.  His people will dime him out as well.  And in the end the noose will get tighter on ALL PITBULL OWNERS with new federal laws enacted to protect the animals which in the end will probably adversely the owners of dogs who actually care for pets.  Unfortunate but true.
