Vibe Awards 2007 EVE

Femcee Eve has been tapped to host the 2007 Vibe Awards. The Vibe Awards has gone under some reconstruction, sort of, it now seems that VH1 (who used to ignore/avoid the “urban” element like a plague) has now embraced the Vibe Awards as its own. VH1 Soul will be the new home of the Vibe Awards, while most categories will remain the same the Video Vixen Awards is gone.

Beyonce, T.I. and R. Kelly lead the pack with 3 nominations apiece. Notably T.I.’s up for Hip Hop Artist of The Year, while Kellz & Bee face off for R&B Artist of The Year. The Show airs November 14 at 9pm; this year’s edition will only be 1 hour long, unlike previous shows which generally lasts 2 hours.
