The Virginian-Pilot newspaper is reporting that the stepfather of NBA star Allen Iverson has been indicted on federal drug charges stemming from an arrest in April but the case was believed to be stalling perhaps due to lack of evidence. 

Newport News Virginia police originally arrested the 51-year-old Michael Andre Freeman when officers discovered crack in his car during a routine traffic stop. However this week those charges were suddently dropped as the federal prosecution caught a second wind from somewhere.  He is now charged with with federal possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute. He is being held bending his bond hearing. 

Which leads me to my conspiracy theory.  Forgive me if i’m wrong but I KNOW…Iverson and Vick hang out an infact are from the same town of Newport News.  I know insiders who will put them in the same clubs and hotspots.  Does it not seem ironic that Iverson’s step-pops, who by all accounts is credited as Iverson’s mentor and career driving force , all of sudden has a federal drug case accelerated just one day after Vick enters a guilty plea? There’s no evidence that Vick had anything to do with the DMX raid but this one is too close to home for comfort.  You heard it here first.
