Getting a hold of a good draftkit is like buying gold these days.  Here at HighbridNation we’ll do our best to get you ready for your draft.  If you’ve already drafted…well you’re sh*t out of luck.

Chances are you won’t land LT but you don’t need him to win

Here’s how I rank the top backs in the league.  Anyone not on this list shouldn’t be drafted.  Always go running back in the first round I don’t care how tempting Peyton Manning or Steve Smith may seem.  You’re starting running back is your most important position.  He can get you points on the ground and through the air.  Depending on where you pick and how deep your league is I’d go running back rounds one and two only considering elite Wide Recievers or Peyton in round two as substitutes.

TIP OF THE DAY: if you take a stud in the first round you may want to scoop up his backup in some of the later rounds as insurance just in case your horse goes down.  We call this a “handcuff.”

  1. If you don’t know who…then you don’t deserve to play
  2. Steven Jackson
  3. Frank Gore
  4. Larry Johnson
  5. Joseph Addai
  6. Willie Parker

  11. Lawrence Maroney
  12. Travis Henry
  13. Ronnie Brown
  14. Willis McGahee
  15. Clinton Portis
  16. Brandon Jacobs

  35. Ladell Betts
  36. Jamal Lewis
  37. Kevin Jones

Those of you who actually chose to read this entire article will also get my sleepers and my potential busts.

Sleepers

Brandon Jacobs (if he slips to round 3 DRAFT HIM!)
Cederick Benson
Cadillac Williams
D’Angelo Williams
Lendelle White
Brandon Jackson (Most people don’t know him YOU SHOULD!)
LaDelle Betts (only as a backup)
Mike Bell (backup)

Busts

Edgerin James
Deuce McCallister
Ahman Green
Fred Taylor
Jamal Lewis

Notice all of my bust backs (pause) are aging.  They’ve all had significant carries in past years and may have seen their best years.  The sleepers are all quite the opposite.  They are all young up-and-coming sexy picks.  The only way to win your league is to take educated gambles.  Good Luck.
