It was all over music websites and blogs last weekend that the group Floetry was breaking up well at the very least swapping out Natalie Stewart (the Floacist) for rapper and MTV personality Amanda Diva. What was unclear at the time was exactly what sparked the break up and what the climate was.
Well it now looks like the Marsha Ambrosius (the Songstress) was not too happy with her former group member. On her Myspace page she left this personal statement: Â

I’ll let you do you… I’m a friend till the end… but when it gets all crazy, at some point I have to see things for what they really are… if its not working, its not working… Ican’t please everybody… I can’t, I tried that… got me in a whole bunch of [EXPLETIVE]… guess if I’d a grown up sooner, things woulda been different but I can’t live like that, I just gotta LIVE… and let LIVE…

Marsha also says that the former close friends haven’t spoken in 6 months.Â

What a tragedy to hip hop? Now the Black Man will be a subject of silence as those who adored him so eloquently are no more together. Sad, sad indeed.
