Eddie and Tracey get engaged

The Eddie Murphy love catastrophe continues. To further complicate his life he allegedly has “popped the question†to his girlfriend Tracey Edmonds. Edmond’s who of course is Babyface’s ex-wife said yes last Wednesday according to the couple’s spokesperson. “Tracey and Eddie are both very much in love and are excited about spending the rest of their lives together,†she said.Â
OK magazine first reported the engagement, when the couple was spotted at the July 23 premiere of “Who’s Your Caddy,” which is from Bob Johnson’s Our Stories Films of which Tracy is a partner. She was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her left ring finger which of course was a dead giveaway.
According to the magazine Murphy denied the claims saying “No, this isn’t an engagement ring. If I were gonna do an engagement ring, it would be much bigger.”
The announcement comes just days after Melanie Brown, Murphy’s baby moms went public with more details about their strange breakup and subsequent paternity dispute. No word yet on when the wedding plans.Â
