Things aren’t always what they appear to be.  The saying could not be more true about Esperanza Brooks, 36 who was a cheerleading coach at the Andre Agassi College Prepatory Academy, a charter school for at-risk students founded by the tennis star in 2001 in Las Vegas.  But at night she became an undercover pimp deeply involved in Vegas’ illegal prostitution industry.

Last Wednesday, Brooks was arrested after agreeing to deliver three prostitutes and drugs to undercover detectives at a hotel-casino.  The moonlight madam was charged with 14 counts of prostitution related crimes.  Tiffany Alvord, Rachael Alexander and Rachel Wall were hookers working for Brooks and were nabbed in a related sting and booked on one count of soliciting for the purpose of prostitution.  Rashena Rashel Kemp, 30, who is believed to be Brooks’ pimping partner was also arrested and charged with three counts of conspiracy to commit pandering and conspiracy to live off the earnings of a prostitute.  Come on that’s a crime…they actually have a charge for that?

According to the Associated Press, Brooks reportedly passed a background check administered by the school. There is no indication at this time if any of the school’s 500 students were involved in prostitution.

Story makes plenty of sense to me.  Think about it, its like Major League Baseball Teams that build schools down in the Dominican Republic.  They know its a talent hotbed for major league caliber players so they build needed school, probably teach them English and give them just enough equipment so when its time to put a school baseball team together you can monitor whose worth keeping an eye on as a potential phenom and recurit. 

Brooks wasn’t doing anything different.  What better place to recruit talent than horny, school aged girls with their hormones bubbling.  On top of it her talent crop is cheerleaders who are used to having people admire their bodies.  You Show em the ropes and let them see what kind of bread they can make.  Now they even glorify the  prostitution industry on TV with the HBO Bunny Ranch shows.  She just got caught.  Good business though.
