…AY…If you dont live up Brooklyn, dont play NBA LIVE(’05′), or have been under a rock believing Hip hop actually died at one time. Then your just in time for me to tell you about Joell Ortiz’s new Koch released album. “The Brick-Bodega Chronicles.” Now this has been out for a while(late April to be exact) but it DEFINATLY deserves attention because Ortiz delivers 60 minutes of straight…fire!!! I listened to this album start to finish everyday for the past week an NEVER stopped nodding my head to wonder…”Do I like this song?,” lol!
You can feel the realness, soaking up every punchline and relating to his vivid picture painting of life in the hood. Joell mostly goes on about the need to get this money, the struggles, and loving the art of hiphop. I thought that Styles P-The Ghost Sessions was serious, but this here takes the cake. People who would want this album have albums like:”Beanie Sigel-The Truth.” “Kool G Rap-Gianncana Story” “Lox-We R The Streets” “Big Pun-Capital Punishment” in their collections, just to give you an idea, you feel me? So buy a geniune copy for real. It’s well worth it.
Key cuts:”125pts1-4,” “Block Royal,” “Hip Hop,” “Caught Up,” “Brooklyn(remix)” “Modern Day Slavery”
Some Guests include:”Styles P,” “Cashmere” “Big Noyd” “Immortal Technique” “Akon”
Hate it or love it but this is in my top rotation stack, real WALK:
