The 2^nd to last episode of one of the best series off all time and WOW! Everything’s coming to a head Phil Leatordo (Boss of NY) has decided to whack Tony and nothing is going to stop it. The plan is to whack the three top Jersey guys the aforementioned Tony Soprano, consigliore Silvio Dante, and third in charge Bobby Bacchala.
Tony has guys in his crew choosing sides (and getting whacked for doing so) and his fed friend (Agent Harris) letting him know his numbers up, so he does what a smart man in his position would do STRIKE FIRST. In the meantime Dr. Melfi (Tony’s Therapist) has decided to stop treating Tony as a patient. She’s come to believe that he only uses therapy to sharpen his skills as a criminal and is a sociopath who’s not treatable. For 7 years she’s basically been aiding a criminal.
Tony puts his plan in motion and calls over his Italian hit squad. The same guys who killed Rusty as a favor to Johnny Sack in season 5. These guys are flown over from Italy to kill Phil Leatordo, the only problem is that the message gets “lost in translation” and they kill the wrong guy. Now shits hit the fan Phil’s in hiding and Tony and his crew are sitting ducks. Before Silvio could get the word to Bobby that things didn’t work out and to watch himself on the street Bobby is gunned down while spending 8grand on a train set. Silvio is packing his bags and fleeing when the NY hit squad is rolling up on the scene. After a broad day light shooting outside of the Bing Sil is in the hospital Dr.’s say he won’t regain consciousness.
Tony has to lamb it quick, and while trying to round up his family has to kick his son’s ass out of depression. Tony and Paulie lock down the fort and head to a safe house to re group with the rest of the crew. The Episode ends with Tony in his room sleeping with the fully automatic Ar-17 that Bobby gave him for his birthday in the season’s opener. Sil’s gone, Bobby’s Gone, Chris is Gone and Tony’s back is against the wall. The fat lady is singing in SOPRANO!
