Disclaimer: What you’re about to read might be slightly biased and may even be tongue-in-cheek at times because it comes from a proud-Yankee Hater since 1984. 

It has been a lost year so far New York Yankees despite the excellent, MVP caliber play of their star third baseman, Alex Rodriguez’s.  However, for once, it has been his off-the-field game that has been blazing up the New York headlines.  All the local papers have been reporting that A-Rod has been having an affair with an un-named blonde from Toronto.  On Wednesday he was photographed on the back of the Post escorting his boo back to his 4-Season’s hotel room following another embarrassing loss and subsequent night on the town including a short visit to a strip club.

Then Thursday it was revealed that A-Rod has most recently made it a habit of purchasing lavishing extravagant gifts on strippers in the many towns across America that the team travels to on road trips.  Well apparently his wife and high school sweetheart, Cynthia Rodriguez, has hit the road too.

Either upset about A-Rod’s extra-curricular activities or recent homerun drought, Cynthia left the couple’s NYC apartment Tuesday night carrying two suitcases and refusing to speak with reporters that were camped outside.  Ha Ha I love it.  Alex, who’s obviously a moron vows not to let this affect his game.  Which game are we talking about A Rod?

See the problem is that Alex is in the middle of a $220 Million+ contract and the fact that he carries such a high profile image will make it easy for his wife to prove infidelity in divorce court granting her a countless sum of money.  Now knowing the nature of their relationship, being that they’ve been together so long I wouldn’t be surprised if no prenuptial agreement was ever drafted… Cynthia might be in for a big pay day.  This once again proves that A Rod may have a lot of game but strikes out when it matters most.  Dummy!

UPDATE – This photo taken this morning by NBC News 7 in Boston shows A Rod strolling hand in hand with his wife down a Boston street. The Yankees are in town for a vital 3 game series with the front-running Red Sox. It seems, Dos Un’s boy came to his senses and realized what we already knew, its cheaper to keep her.  I wonder what he bribed her with to come back.
