The NAACP is planning to hold a funeral for the word n***er during the civil rights organization’s national convention in July. The Rev. Wendell Anthony, leader of the Detroit Branch, made the announcement at the annual Fight for Freedom Fund Dinner saturday night (Apr. 29). Members will also host a eulogy for the controversial word during the convention, which takes place July 7-12 in Detroit. “We are committed to ending hate — word and talk,” Anthony told the Associated Press. “It doesn’t do anyone any good, whether it’s a journalist on TV or a rapper on the radio.” The NAACP held a mock funeral for the oppresive “Jim Crow” laws 63 years ago.

Yo E. Night, I swear no matter what the subject is, you bring up 50 Cent.

Anyway, it’ll be interesting to see how much attention the media pays this one.

Well 50 and G-Unit seem to be the hot topics on here…
