Billboard.com Singer/actress Eve was arrested early this morning (April 26) for investigation of driving under the influence after she crashed a Maserati in Hollywood, Calif., authorities said.

The incident occurred about 2:45 a.m. on Hollywood Boulevard, police Officer Martha Garcia said. Eve, whose full name is Eve Jeffers, did submit to testing to determine her blood alcohol level, but the results were not immediately available, Garcia said.

Eve, 28, was booked on misdemeanor drunken driving and posted $30,000 bail shortly thereafter. She is scheduled to return to court May 17. A phone message left for her attorney, Matthew Johnson, was not immediately returned. Publicist Amanda Silverman said she had no immediate comment.

Eve’s new album, “Here I Am,” is due Aug. 7 via Geffen.
