Detriot’s most historic and cherished Hip Hop venue is set to have a new owner.  Rapper/ Executive Eminem is in negotiations to buy St. Andrews Hall.  Considered to be hollowed ground, the venue and more specifically and area called ”The Shelter” has been host to many of the citiy’s most competitive and memorable rap battles and performances.  So much so that it was the focus of Em’s semi-biographical movie, 8 Mile.

The venue which is currently owned by concert ticket brokers, Live Nation will become managed by Eminem and his manager Paul Rosenberg but the venues current brass will run the day-to-day operations of the club.  St.  Andrews was also host to the final episode of VH1’s White Rapper Show featuring white rap legend, MC Search.  The terms of the proposed deal are undisclosed.
