Highbrid Nation first reported that Actor Eddie Griffin wrecked the $1.2 million Ferrari Enzo at the Irwindale Speedway in California.  The whip is featured in his soon-to-be released flick Redline.  We even speculated that the crash was part of some elaborate publicity stunt.  Many in the entertainment world have adopted this though process as well.

Griffin however denies the claim but the mashed up whip has been on full display at Hollywood’s Mann Chinese Theater since Tuesday leaving some to wonder.

A spokesman for Redline said: “The car will lay in state surrounded by security for several days leading up to the premiere of the film. Surrounding the car, in tribute, will be several high-profile sports cars as well as floral, candle and tribute displays to the car. It’ll be a very special memorial service.”

What a wack quote.  Honestly it doesn’t matter to me what the film producer’s intentions were that ish was hillarious.  I watched it over and over.  Honestly if it wasn’t for the crash I wouldn’t even know about the flick. I probably won’t even see it either.  Eddie has consistantly fallen off since I dubbed him the funniest man alive way back in the late 90′s when he released that 30 minute HBO stand up special.  (Remember the Adam & Eve skit where Adam thanked God for giving Eve a phat ass?) Anyway since then he’s been a bust like A-Rod in the Bronx.

One Response to Redline’s Griffin denies Ferrari Crash was a Publicity Stunt

  1. Evorgleb says:

the 1.5 million dollar loss is probably less then what they would have paid for that kind of pub so it does lend some credence to that theory but craching a car just seems like too dangerous of a stunt to risk
