I Know You Remember This….MMPR

Piggybacking off of what Dos Un did with the Teddy Ruxpin, I wanted to put this up.  I was surfing Youtube and came across The Mighty Morphin Power Ranger, don’t act like you never watched it, maybe not faithfully but you watched it.  This show could of had potential if they had good actors, proper storylines, proper directors, proper poduction and better effects, ok I was wrong it never had potential, but as a kid it came correct.  The acting was so horrible that it was actuall commical.  I posted one of my favorite moments in MMPR history, Goldar (the monkey from the Wizard of OZ) and Scorpina are destroying Megazord when the Green Ranger (X-Pacs lil brother) comes and finishes them off.

What was your favorite moment?

Sigh.. This show is a classic. I loved it as a kid. I think you might be right about the potential of this show. Better visual effects, story line and actors. It might be able to compete with Heroes and Smallville!….. ahhhh who am I kidding.. I don’t think we will ever see a remake of the Power Rangers in our life time.

Pretty much that is how it looked, I can’t believe that it lasted as long as it did, it just got cancelled two years ago. I guess cheap action and giant puppets are popular.

that show was super profitable. People dont realize that the show that Americans saw featured very little new footage. The producers took footaage from an old Japanese show called Super Sentai and spliced it with footage featuring American actors. All those fight scenes are from another show. So the show didnt actually get canceled. They just ran out of old japanese footage to use.
